Welding Technology

The Welding Technology program at Las Positas College is designed to prepare students for entering into the manufacuring industry and gain entry level employment in a manufacturing environment. The welding industry offers a wide variety of dynamic and challenging careers. Welders are found in traditional manufacturing environments as well as engineering, construction and equipment repair. Completion of the Welding Technology Certificate of Achievement and/or Associate in Science degree requirements prepares students to take the American Welding Society standard welding certification test.
