Guided Pathways Mission Statement

The heart of Guided Pathways at Las Positas College is our diverse student body. The Mission of Guided Pathways is to ensure equity and enhance the college experience and career preparation for all our students. Through our efforts and the guidance of student success teams, we commit to provide opportunities for students to discover, clarify, and enter their pathway, and to persist and succeed in achieving their academic and career goals.

Guided Pathways Charge of the Steering Committee

The LPC Guided Pathways Steering Committee is a standing committee of the College Council. The goal of Guided Pathways is to increase student success and completion through continuous improvement in college practices and processes: coordinating needed academic support, removing barriers, and supporting equity-infused practices and holistic support along the student journey. The Steering Committee is a cross-functional team that provides overall guidance to the college regarding the inquiry, design, and implementation of Guided Pathways.

VOTING

• 2 LPCSG appointed Students
• 4 Classified Professionals
• 5 Faculty members, one from each of our Divisions
• 2 Administrators
• 1 Dean of Special Programs
• 1 Vice President appointed by the President

NON-VOTING

• 3 Guided Pathways Coordinators (serving as Tri Chairs)
