COVID-19 Updates and Resources

As useful information is released to the Las Positas College Veterans FIrst Program from the Department of Veterans Affairs or other community resources, we will post the information here.

Las Positas College is excited to partner with the City of Livermore and CityHealth Urgent Care to offer COVID-19 testing at Las Positas College, in Parking Lot P.  The testing site is open now and will be open every day from 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM.  The testing site will offer Molecular PCR tests, and results will be available within 48 hours.

GI Bill Notices

On December 21, 2021, President Biden signed the Responsible Education Mitigating Options and Technical Extensions Act or the REMOTE Act into law.

Section two of this law extends the various COVID-19 protections for GI Bill® students from December 21, 2021, to June 1, 2022. In part, this means that students who were attending a course that was converted to online training because of COVID-19, and were getting paid the resident rate, may continue to train online, and will continue to receive the resident housing rate until June 1, 2022.
