Honoring Women Veterans
Las Positas College
.
March is Womens History Month. Women veterans (either you, a family member - sister,
mom, aunt, or a friend who wore a uniform) have made significant contributions to
our country, often facing unique challenges and demonstrating incredible resilience.
We are excited to recognize women who served in the military, their bravery and sacrifice,
along with celebrating their achievements. To date, women currently make up approximately
10% of the overall veteran population. Even smaller numbers at the community college
(less than 1%).
Please view our RECAP VIDEO - SLIDE SHOW. Congratulations to our scholarship winners and quilt of valor recipients!
