Joint Service Transcripts

Background:  

To comply with the requirements of Title 38 VA Benefits and the VA School Certifying Official (SCO) Handbook, colleges must evaluate the Joint Services Transcripts (JSTs) of all admitted current and former service members (students) to offer all appropriate college credit for military training. To do so, college must obtain an official version of the JST from jst.doded.mil.

Students may request that a copy of their JST be submitted to Las Positas college and the college may obtain a copy on the student’s behalf by using the bulk request feature at jst.doded.mil. The original JST is then uploaded, and the credit recommendations are analyzed and articulated to college courses using the Mapping Articulated Pathways (MAP)

How to order your Joint Service Transcript:

1. Open the Joint Srvice Transcript website.
2. Create an account to login, or if you already have an account, login to request your Joint Service Transcript.
3. Request your official joint service transcript  Be sure to search for LAS POSITAS COLLEGE.  Do not use acronyms.
4. If you would like the Veterans First Program to order your Joint Service Transcript, complete the Joint Service Transcript Veterans First Program Form.
5. To "OPT OUT" from not ordering your Joint Service Transcripts, please complete the Joint Service Transcript Veterans First Program Form.
