High School Diploma or Equivalency Requirement (Effective July 1, 2012)

New Requirement:
Starting July 1, 2012, you must have a high school diploma, GED, or a state-approved high school equivalency to apply for federal financial aid. -
No More ATB Option:
- The Ability to Benefit (ATB) regulations have been eliminated.
- New students cannot qualify for aid by taking an ATB test or by completing 6 core/degree applicable units unless they attended any college before July 1, 2012.

For Previous ATB Qualifiers:
Students who qualified under the old ATB rules before July 1, 2012 will still be eligible for federal financial aid.
