Important Transcript Requirement for Federal Aid Eligibility

Submit Your Transcripts:
Make sure all your college transcripts are sent to either Las Positas College or Chabot. -
Pell Grant Requirement:
If you received a Federal Pell Grant, you must earn passing grades (A–D) for the required credit hours at each college you attended during the award years. -
Consequences:
Not meeting these requirements may make you ineligible for future federal financial aid.
Appealing the Ineligibility Determination
Unusual Enrollment Petition & Reconsideration for Federal Aid

If You're Ineligible:
If you've been notified that you're ineligible for aid because you didn't earn academic credit during the reviewed enrollment period, you can submit an Unusual Enrollment Petition. This petition lets you explain any unusual circumstances that affected your ability to earn credit. -
Reconsideration for Federal Aid:
If your aid eligibility was denied due to an unusual enrollment history, you can be reconsidered for federal student aid by meeting the following requirements:-
Enroll in Required Courses:
Enroll for three consecutive academic terms in courses that are required for your program. -
Maintain a Good GPA:
Earn a minimum 2.5 GPA during each of these academic terms. -
Avoid Withdrawals:
Do not withdraw (either officially or unofficially) from any courses after the term begins. -
Other Eligibility Requirements:
Continue to meet all other Federal Aid Eligibility Requirements
