Did you know? 88% of dual-enrollment students who took community college courses in high school continued in college after high school, and most achieved a degree or transferred within six years!
About the High School Credit Program
The High School Credit Program provides a list of curated courses for high school students in the Tri-Valley Area to complete through dual enrollment. Dual enrollment – also known as concurrent enrollment – enables high school students to take college courses, taught by college professors, either on our campus or at their school site. These courses can count toward the high school diploma, allowing students to get a head start on their higher education goals.
Participation in dual enrollment is likely to improve high school completion rates, increase college enrollment and degree attainment. It will also reduce time to degree and the cost of education while eliminating barriers to college and career.
Please review the Las Positas College Dual Enrollment Handbook to learn more and get answers to some of our most frequently asked questions.
