THE ACTORS CONSERVATORY
INTENTIONS
The first year program at the Actors Conservatory focuses on the foundational methodologies of acting as a craft through rigorous and concentrated immersion into the program, setting the actor's intention of professionalism into action. Students are introduced and expected to develop skills in multiple courses- synthesizing all of these areas into a performer ready to take on the more complex challenges of increasingly rigorous performance work and professional expectations.

** Summer Session: Strongly Recommended: Eng 1A ( 3-units). Students that have not already completed Eng 1A are encouraged to take it at this time. Eng 1A is a prerequisite to Thea 53 (Script Analysis), so students who have not completed it must do so. Those who have completed Eng 1A at another college or through AP testing should discuss with a counselor at https://laspositascollege.edu/counseling/ for clarity on if you are required to take ENG 1A or not**
*** Strongly recommended for students planning an AA or transfer to UC/CSU
After your two years with the ACLPC, you can move foward with two more semesters to
complete your AA-T transfer degree in Theater Arts. Many ACLPC courses will work for
this transfer pattern and you will be on your way to the next step in your educational
and artistic journey. **You should schedule an appointment with a counselor to formalize
this plan and check it for accuracy**
