Transferability

The Fire Service Technology degree does not include the lower division (GE) requirements typical of four year institutions. General education requirements should be selected carefully based on the intended transfer institution. There are a limited number of four year institutions with specific degrees in the fields of Fire Service Technologies and many of them accept the FST core classes from Las Positas for transfer for the degree or as electives. Students should consult a counselor for current transfer information.
