Works Cited List Generators
Again, your instructor’s preference and the context of the particular assignment is important. Many instructors use Works Cited list generators to help students learn how to create bibliographic entries for the sources they use. However, students should use the Works Cited list generator recommended by their instructor or a librarian and use it according to the instructor’s guidelines. For example, if an instructor is teaching students how to enter source information into NoodleTools, the instructor does not want students to just import the source information from EasyBib or copy and paste it from a database. Similarly, if an instructor wants students to learn how to craft a bibliographic entry on their own, using a template or recipe provided by the library website or MLA, that instructor does not want students to use a Works Cited list generator.
