About Me:  I am now retired. I taught English at our college from 1997 to 2024, first as a part-time instructor and then full-time. During the years I was part-time, I was an executive in banking, so I taught at night. I was also a freelance journalist for 15 years writing a human interest column for the Bay Area News Group. I stil serve on the college's Foundation board, and I support various programs and actvities at the college.
