To maintain public trust, Las Positas Campus Safety must be transparent and obvious to those seeking to expand their knowledge. Here at the Las Positas Campus Safety Department, we understand and acknowledge the desire of the general public and the communities we serve.

It is important to note that the campus safety department complies with State law for disclosure of student records. The Department does not set the rules regarding what records can or cannot be disclosed - the State does. FERPA, which this department is fully complying with, amended State law to allow more records to be released, thus the information on this page.
The Las Positas Campus Safety Department receives a number of public records requests for records disclosable under the provisions of FERPA guidelines. Both prior to and on a continual basis, the Department reviews any and all records that may be responsive to FERPA.
ALL official records requests will be identified, reviewed by the campus safety supervisor.
If/when approved for release, an appropriately redacted copy will be issued to the
requesting party.
