Welcoming the 2026–2027 President’s Scholars
On August 6, 2026, President Foster hosted the 2026–2027 President’s Scholars Orientation, welcoming a new cohort of students to the program.
The President’s Scholars Program is designed to recognize and support outstanding students who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership potential, and a commitment to achieving their goals. Each President’s Scholar was hand selected from a highly competitive pool of applicants whose achievements and promise set them apart.
President’s Scholars are a distinguished group of students who exemplify engagement and initiative. As part of the program, scholars have the opportunity to represent LPC as ambassadors for the campus community while developing their leadership skills and preparing for future success. Students in the program receive a full scholarship, $500 each semester for books, a laptop, and leadership opportunities designed to support their academic and personal growth.
This year’s scholars represent the following high schools: Livermore High School, Granada High School, Foothill High School, Tracy High School, Amador Valley High School, Mountain House High School, Vineyard Alternative, Lincoln High School, Merrill F. West High School, California High School, and Castro Valley High School. The orientation provided an opportunity for the scholars to begin building relationships and learning more about the college community they will represent throughout the year.
