Paramedic Program
Articulation Agreement
This agreement is between Las Positas College (LPC) and Utah Valley University (UVU) to help graduating LPC paramedic students further their education and receive credit for completed training.
This agreement is in place to create a meaningful articulation between these two institutions
that provides an avenue for LPC paramedic students to receive credit for their training
that will apply towards a Bachelor of Science in Emergency Services Administration
- Emergency Care Emphasis.
Upon entrance into the UVU Emergency Services Department, Nationally Certified LPC
Paramedic Students will receive lower division credit that applies towards their degree
at UVU. Students are required to complete the following emphasis requirements under
the "Paramedic/ Affiliated" option:
Credits: 15
ESMG 481R (Emergency Services Internship)
Credits: 16
ESMG 491R (Topics in Cardiology and Medical Trends-6 credits)
ESMG 492R (Topics in Trauma and Pharmacology-6 credits)
EMSG 493R (Topics in Medical Litigation-4 credits)
Students must complete all other degree requirements (General Education, Discipline Core, Electives) to receive their degree .
