Welcome to Las Positas College Dream Center
Resources for Undocumented, AB 540, DACA, and Students from Mixed Status Families.
The Dream Center (DC) at Las Positas College (LPC) is dedicated to creating a safe, welcoming, and inclusive space for Undocumented students, AB 540 students, DACA recipients, allies, and those from mixed-status families. Our mission is to empower and support these students in achieving their academic, career, and personal aspirations.
Through a holistic approach, the Dream Center strives to enhance educational access, promote academic success, and improve retention and graduation rates for undocumented students at LPC. Additionally, we are committed to educating the campus community, sharing best practices, and continuously assessing student and center outcomes to foster a more informed and supportive environment.
The California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office, in partnership with the California Department of Social Services (CDSS) and the Foundation for California Community Colleges (FoundationCCC), has developed the Higher Education Immigration Legal Services Program. This program provides a wide range of free immigration legal services to undocumented and mixed status students, faculty and staff on California community college campuses.
The California Student Aid Commission is the principal state agency responsible for administering financial aid programs for students attending public and private universities, colleges, and vocational schools in California. The Commission has never wavered from its central mission to make education beyond high school financially accessible to all Californians.
The Commission serves as a resource for policymakers and the public on college affordability and financing issues, and advocates for policy changes to eliminate cost as a barrier to any qualified California student pursuing a higher education
- Vision: Transforming lives by creating educational opportunities for the state’s diverse population, driving its social and economic well-being to ensure a promising future for all.
- Mission: Promoting educational equity by making postsecondary education affordable for all Californians.
The California Department of Education (CDE) and the California Student Aid Commission (CSAC) want to assure undocumented students and their families that it is safe to apply for the California Dream Act Application (CADAA). These agencies are committed to protecting student information and ensuring access to financial aid for college.

The Dream Center at Las Positas College (LPC) recognizes that we are on the unceded land of the Muwekma Ohlone Tribe, the original stewards of the San Francisco Bay Area. We honor the sovereignty of the Chochenyo-Ohlone-speaking people and all indigenous communities. We encourage reflection on the land you occupy—whose land are you on?
