Welcome to Placement!
Placement & Multiple Measures
Completing the Placement Process is important for helping ensure appropriate course placement. Students must log into MyPortal to complete the Placement for English and Mathematics or they may choose the Multiple Measures evaluation option, which can include standardized test results and college-level coursework from accredited institutions for placement at Las Positas College. Students who would like to place above the 1A level in ASL, French, or Spanish should read the below information under "World Languages."
Students are encouraged to explore the Placement Center's left navigation panel, consult the college catalog, or meet with a counselor to learn about their placement options and their rights to access transfer-level coursework.
