Guided Self-Placement & Multiple Measures
Assessments are important for helping ensure appropriate course placement. Students must log into MyPortal to complete the Guided Self-Placement for English, Mathematics, and French, or they may choose the Multiple Measures evaluation option, which can include standardized test results and college-level coursework from accredited institutions for placement at Las Positas College.
Students are encouraged to explore the Assessment Center's left navigation panel, consult the college catalog, or meet with a counselor to learn about their placement options and their rights to access transfer-level coursework.

English as a Second Language (ESL)
Students planning to enroll in ESL courses are recommended to complete an in-person assessment at the Assessment Center. Click on the link for more details.
