RAW Face-to-Face Tutoring

Stop in to see one of the English/ESL Tutors (see hours of operation on the RAW Homepage). The RAW Center can help Las Positas College students with any reading or writing assignment. We provide 20 minute drop-in meetings on a first-come, first-served basis. To find a RAW tutor, go to anyone of your Canvas courses, find LPC Tutoring/RAW on the navigation bar (left side of screen), find Reading and Writer Center, open, enter.

What You Should Know Before Your Visit:

1. You should bring a pen or pencil, your assignment, and your assignment instructions.
2. Reading and writing services include help with reading comprehension, reading strategies, brainstorming for essays, essay organization, thesis statements and conclusions, paragraph focus, developing your ideas, MLA and APA documentation and format, grammar, sentence structure, and punctuation.
3. We do not offer a "proofreading service." Tutors will help you locate your errors and teach you how to fix them and provide learning resources.
4. If you are uploading a paper for the drop-off service via Penji, you MUST include the assignment instructions.  You can copy and paste those onto the first page of your document before uploading.
