The California Virtual Campus-Online Education Initiative (CVC-OEI) helps create partnerships across the California Community Colleges to support high-quality, inclusive course design and streamline student access to online courses across our system.
Peer Online Course Review (POCR)
Through our partnership with the CVC-OEI, Las Positas College is locally certified to help faculty align their online courses to the high-quality standards outlined in the CVC Online Course Design Rubric.
Interested faculty should contact our POCR Lead, Angelo Bummer, to learn about our Peer Online Course Review program to support instructors through this process.

California Virtual Campus (CVC) Exchange
In the spring of 2025, LPC began work to become a "teaching college" on the CVC Exchange, which helps students seamlessly enroll in online courses offered by partnered California Community Colleges. This project is expected to be finalized in the summer of 2025.
Courses that have been certified as aligning with the CVC Online Course Design Rubric through our POCR program and courses with Zero Textbook Costs (ZTC) are badged on the CVC Exchange. This helps students find high-quality, affordable online courses in order to successfully meet their educational goals.
