Holly Silva
Math Support & Counseling
My name is Holly Silva, and I’m a second-year student at Las Positas College majoring in Business Administration and Economics. By the end of this school year, I hope to earn my AS-T in both majors and transfer to a four-year university to continue my studies. I’m thrilled to be specializing in math support as a Student Ambassador for the 2025-2026 school year. Alongside that, I am also a tutor at the Tutorial Center here on campus. The biggest reason I find myself in both of these roles is because I find genuine enjoyment and purpose in helping others work towards reaching their highest potential. Outside of academics, I love to play soccer and I enjoy going on long walks to clear my mind after a busy week. I love reading books about self-growth, business, classics, and any new topic that expands my perspective. I’m currently reading books on both Forensics and Behavioral Economics, which remind me how enriching it is to keep learning beyond the classroom. I’m so grateful for the resources and opportunities that LPC and community college as a whole has provided me, and I want every student to feel supported and know that there are people who truly care about their success. I have a deep-rooted passion for helping others, and I know that this dedication of mine will drive me as a Student Ambassador to represent all students and advocate for the overall student experience at LPC!
Jordan Moises
Financial Aid
My name is Jordan Moises and I'm a Computer Science major. I'm currently on my final year in LPC, and I'm on track to receive my AS in Computer Science and Mathematics. My plan is to hopefully transfer to UCSB or UCD to pursue a pathway in Data Science. I speak English but my native language is Tagalog, as I was born in the Philippines. I also started to have an interest in attending concerts, in which I went to 6 shows this year(Tyler, The Weeknd, The Marias, etc.). Our campus has many resources that make college more accessible, yet not a lot of students are aware. This year, my goal is to give back to my community by helping students access these resources they need to succeed. As a student assistant in the LPC Financial Aid Department, I'm excited to share more information about school grants, free-tuition, and scholarships.
