Las Positas College

Hispanic Serving Institution

Las Positas College (LPC) has been designated a Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI) by the United States Department of Education. This designation recognizes colleges and universities where at least 25% of the student population identifies as Hispanic/Latine and reflects a deep institutional commitment to serving and supporting these students.

As part of the Chabot Las Positas Community College District (CLPCCD), LPC is committed to expanding educational opportunities and strengthening
programs that improve academic achievement, transfer accomplishments, and career outcomes for Hispanic/Latine and low‑income students. CLPCCD 2024-25 Annual Report list LPC with a 29% Hispanic/Latine student population.

LPC's HSI Program initiatives advance educational equity, student success, and a sense of belonging for Hispanic/Latine, First Year, Low-Income students and other historically underrepresented communities.
