2026 - 2027 Las Positas College Equity Innovation Grant Application

Applications for the 2026-2027 Student Equity Innovation Grant are now open!

Please reference the Student Equity Innovation Grant Application and email your completed application to Amanda Castelli via acastelli@laspositascollege.edu.

Las Positas College departments, programs, Classified Professionals, Faculty, Administrators, and student clubs are invited to apply for Equity Innovation Grants ranging from $100 to $2,000 to support short-term projects that advance student equity within their area or across the college. There will be a total amount of $30,000 available for the 2026-2027 Academic Year.

Proposals should address identified equity gaps affecting one or more disproportionately impacted student groups and align with the metrics and priorities outlined in the LPC Student Equity Plan. Priority consideration will be given to proposals that support our Las Positas College Intensive Focus Student Populations for the 2025-2028 Student Equity Plan cycle, which include Black/African American students, Hispanic/Latinx students, and First generation college students.

The application for an Equity Innovation Grant should clearly distinguish how the funded proposal will advance Student Equity in one or more of the following key metrics:

  1. Access – Successful enrollment in the first year
  2. Persistence – Retention from the first primary term to the subsequent primary term
  3. Transfer Math & English – Completion of transfer-level math and English in the first year
  4. Completion – Achievement of the Vision for Success definition of completion within three years
  5. Transfer Completion – Transfer to a four-year institution within three years
  6. Comprehensive Education Plan Completion (new for 2025-28 SEP)

Funding is awarded for one year. Previously funded projects may be renewed for one additional year through the submission of a new Innovation Grant application. Priority consideration will be given to proposals that do not already have an existing funding source. Travel and conferences are not included as an eligible category for funding. For funding requests related to conferences or professional development, please connect with our Professional Development Committee. The rubric that will be used to score your proposal is available for your review and should serve as a guide for drafting your project: Equity Innovation Grant Scoring Rubric. Applicants may be invited to present their proposed project to the Student Equity and Achievement Committee.
