What Are My General Education Options?

As you progress towards earning your AA-T, you have a number of GE options. You can either use these to explore other fields of interest or to deepen your knowledge of Global Studies. Below are some of the fascinating courses you could consider:

How Can I Prepare for My BA Degree?

Some of the above courses, for example Women's Studies 2, may count for required courses in some universities' Global Studies BA's.

An Important Note about Language Courses:

If you do plan to go on and earn a Global Studies BA, it is strongly recommended that you take both the 2A and 2B semesters of a language course, if possible, while you are still at LPC. However, some universities want you to be taking a language that matches your global area of concentration. If you took Spanish in high school but want to focus on Asia for your BA, it would be better to start with an Asian language online through the CVC-OEI. Consult with a counselor concerning the requirements at the universities to which you may transfer.
