Program Review Cycle

Program Reviews are completed on a three-year cycle: 

  • Fall 2025: Program Review Update
  • Fall 2026: Comprehensive Program Review
  • Fall 2027: Program Review Update
  • Fall 2028: Program Review Update
  • Fall 2029: Comprehensive Program Review

2025 Program Review Update Outcomes 

Huge thanks to everyone who participated in the 25-26 Program Review Process. Rajinder Samra compiled the following summary of themes from the Program Review Updates, with help from the Institutional Planning and Effectiveness Committee (IPEC) and the Program Review Committee. 

IPEC is considering updates to the College Planning Priorities based on the themes from the 2025-26 Program Review Updates. 

Program Review Spotlight

The following programs were highlighed by the reading teams for their exceptional achievements: 

  • Admissions and Records: Verified applications to avoid fraud while not preventing real students from enrolling   
  • Dance: Revived the Choreography course and diversified the dance curriculum
  • DSPS: Expanded services through more outreach and targeted support across campus
  • Dance: Revived the Choreography course and diversified the dance curriculum
  • Drone Technology: Provided strong workforce-aligned training through a wide breadth of courses and community partnerships
  • Graphic Design and Digital Media: Offered two new animation courses to meet student and industry demand
  • Early Care and Education: Created community partnerships to support Black and Spanish-Speaking students! 
  • Engineering technology: Offered internships and job placement at LLNL  
  • Ethnic Studies: Introduced new courses on African American Studies and Chicanx Studies
  • Financial Aid:  Increased Pell and Promise Grants  
  • MESA : Expanded student participation
  • Veteran’s services: Provided community with multiple weekly activities, ongoing food and a cozy atmosphere
  • Welding Technology: Provided strong workforce-aligned training through a wide breadth of courses and community partnerships
