Black Cultural Resource Center [BCRC] (Bldg. 1700)
The Black Cultural Resource Center (BCRC), Building 1700 - Room 1726, is a space designed for students to study, arrange for academic, transfer or mental health counseling, meet in study groups and receive referrals for basic needs supports. It is also a place to just hang out, have engaging discussions with other classmates, or participate in fun activities such as open mics, movie nights, and game nights, Black History Month events, Black Scholars Family Night, and a Black Graduation Celebration in May each year.

Dream Center [DC] (Building 1000)
The Dream Center (DC), Building 1000 - Room 1018, provides a safe and welcoming space that fosters community for Undocumented, AB 540, DACA Recipients, Allies, and Students from Mixed Status Families. The Center offers guidance and support to help with academic, career and personal goals, taking a holistic approach to advance educational access, academic success, retention and graduation of undocumented students. In addition, the Center educates the campus community on best practices in supporting students who are undocumented. Students and allies can utilize the Center to hang out, build community, and participate in activities like: Movie nights, game nights, paint nights, and Undocumented Student Week of Action. College Bookstore (Building 1300)
All students are required to furnish their own textbooks and school supplies that are available for sale at the College Bookstore or online via www.efollett.com. Typical costs for books and school supplies average $250 to $500 per semester for students pursuing a full-time program. Students financially unable to buy their own textbooks and school supplies should consult the Financial Aid Office or other student support programs. College Bookstore hours are posted outside the College Bookstore. College Bookstore information may be found on the College website at www.laspositascollege.edu.
First Aid (Building 1700)
First aid stations are located in the Office of Campus Security and Security, as well as the Student Health and Wellness Center, both located in Building 1700.
Housing
LPC does not provide dorms or other College-sponsored housing.
Medical Emergencies On Campus
For emergency assistance, dial (925) 424-1699 or extension 1699 from campus office phones. All cases of personal injury or medical emergency should be reported to the Office of Campus Safety and Security. The Student Health and Wellness Center can help students with minor injuries and illnesses.
Mini-Market grocery store & Stations* (Building 1600; kiosks around campus)
The Mini-Market, located in the Student Life Welcome Center, Building 1600 - Room 1643, is a FREE resource for LPC students that offers food, cleaning supplies, toiletries, diapers & wipes, and more! Students need to log in with their W#. There is signage on the items that are limited. You are welcome to visit the Mini-Market daily. * Mini-Market Stations (kiosks) can be found around campus at the following locations (during campus open hours): Library, Tutoring Center, Dream Center, 2500 Building, BCRC, 3400 Building, and the Computer Lab.
Public Transportation
Transportation to and from Las Positas College is an individual responsibility. Wheels is a service of the Livermore Amador Valley Transit Authority (LAVTA) and provides public transportation to and from the College. Student Health and Wellness Center (Bldg. 1700)
The Las Positas College Student Health and Wellness Center has a team of medical, behavioral health, and wellness providers to provide high quality healthcare services that promotes physical and psychological well-being, treats minor health issues, and strives to empower students to have a healthy and successful academic experience. Students who have a health condition that may require sudden emergency care are asked to consult with the Nurse Practitioner in the Student Health and Wellness Center at the beginning of each term and also alert each of their instructors.
The Student Health & Wellness Center team provides:
- High quality and accessible medical, behavioral health, and wellness services.
- Referrals for chronic and complex medical and psychological services.
- Preventive and public health services for the campus community.
- Campus wide collaboration promoting health and student success.
