About the Program

Students transferring to the California State University have the opportunity to complete their lower division general education requirements at Las Positas College. This pattern of general education requires a minimum of 39 semester units to be completed. The Certificate of Achievement in University Transfer - CSU General Education Breadth will officially acknowledge a significant educational achievement the student has completed at Las Positas College. Counselor assistance is advised.

Program Outcomes

Upon completion of this program, students are able to:

  • Read, write, speak, and listen to communicate effectively.
  • Critically apply ethical standards to identify problems and create solutions.
  • Use and criticize quantitative arguments.
  • Analyze and appreciate works of philosophical, historical, literary, and cultural importance.
