Biology: Allied Health Associate of Science (AS)

About the Program

The Associate of Science in Biology: Allied Health degree provides courses that are required for students entering nursing school or other programs in Allied Health fields, such as dental hygiene, radiology, surgical technician, kinesiology, physical therapy, occupational therapy, emergency medical technician, paramedic, medical assisting, and health information technology.

Program Outcomes

  • Upon completion of an AS in Biology: Allied Health, students are able to explain and apply the basic processes of homeostasis in humans from the cellular to the organismal level.
  • Upon completion of an AS in Biology: Allied Health, students are able to conduct, analyze, and report results of experiments.
  • Upon completion of an AS in Biology: Allied Health, students are proficient in standard biology lab techniques and lab safety procedure.
