The Certificate of Achievement in Emergency Medical Technologies is designed to provide students an entrance to the profession of emergency medical services.
Career Opportunities
Jobs include EMT's on an ambulance, emergency room technicians, observers on a police helicopter, athletic trainers, EMT's at skilled nursing facilities, patient transporters at hospitals, lifeguards, and ski patrol officers, among others.
Program Outcomes
- Upon completion of the Certificate of Achievement in Emergency Medical Technologies, students are able to function at the California State certified level of EMT.
- Upon completion of the Certificate of Achievement in Emergency Medical Technologies, students are prepared to become a Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technician (NREMT).
