Women's Studies
Women's Studies courses are designed to help students comprehend the forces that shape the lives of women in United States and in countries around the world. They examine the movement for equal rights globally. The Women’s Studies courses are transferable and students are encouraged to develop critical thinking skills and to learn to write and communicate clearly. Both skills will enable students to be successful in their chosen career fields. The discipline of Women’s Studies helps to nurture an informed public and is, therefore, of vital importance to higher education.
